Veterinarians (FT and PT) * * * * * * ZAI is hiring veterinarians for a contract with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), in Rockville, MD. We are seeking certified veterinarians with varying levels of experience and requirements, with the ability to evaluate pharmacokinetic and clinical trial data submitted by pharmaceutical companies to support review and code animal drug adverse event submissions. These adverse event reports describe clinical signs, including death and serious injury, where the drugs may have caused or contributed to the adverse event. Requirements are DVM degree and at least one year of current clinical practice experience. Writing abilities and communication skills are important, in addition to a good foundation in veterinary medicine. Part-time position will be considered with minimum 20 hours per week. Salary range is $73,000-$90,000 based upon experience, position and job requirement. Excellent benefits include health insurance, 401(k), and generous support for continuing education.
